- Oppo has announced the date for its Inno Day 2022 event.
- Its expected that the company will launch its latest foldables during this event.
- The company has teased its new custom chip.
Its been a while since we last heard anything about Oppos upcoming foldable phones. But that should change soon as the company has announced the date of its Inno Day 2022 event.
Like Googles Made by Google event and Apples Far Out event, Inno Day 2022 is Oppos yearly event to show off its products. This year, the phone manufacturer has scheduled the show for December 14.
In addition to revealing the date of its showcase, Oppo also teased the reveal of a new custom chip in the same tweet. The chip in question is likely the next generation of its MariSilicon X a SoC that Oppo launched last year.
Something else that is expected to be shown at the event is the companys next Galaxy Z Fold-like device the Oppo Find N2. Its believed that the foldable wont only be announced, but could also launch around the same time as the event.
Oppo also has a Galaxy Z Flip-like handset in the works called the Oppo Find N2 Flip. A recent leak revealed that the clamshell phone could have a Mediatek Dimensity 9000 Plus processor, MariSilicon X chip, and a 4,300mAh battery with 44W wired charging. However, rumor has it that the device wont launch alongside its sibling and will instead release sometime next year.
In previous years, the company has used this event to show off new ideas as well, like the rollable concept it revealed back in 2020. Does Oppo have anything up its sleeve this year? We just have to see when its time for the event.
