Mentor Public Library unveils slate of free computer classes for June

Mentor Community Library is hosting 7 totally free laptop or computer classes this June at its Key Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.

The lessons vary from essential introductions to desktops, the internet and email to innovative methods for Microsoft Word.

The classes are:

• An Introduction to Desktops — The library’s most standard personal computer class will be held at 2 p.m., June 28. Individuals will discover the standard techniques they will need to use a computer system. No prior knowledge expected.

• Microsoft Word I — 6:30 p.m., June 28. Learn how to build, open up and conserve files, as effectively as other standard strategies, in Microsoft’s word-processing software.

• Simple World-wide-web — 2 p.m., June 29. Discover how to navigate the World wide web. Participants will want to know how to use a keyboard and a mouse for this class.

• Microsoft Phrase II — 6:30 p.m., June 29. Discover much more state-of-the-art approaches for Microsoft Phrase.

• Fb Basics — 10 a.m., June 30. The arms-on course will reveal simple Facebook features and tips. Attendees are questioned to come to class with their Facebook login data and password.

• Standard Email Techniques — 2 p.m., June 30. Discover how to ship e-mail and attachments, as well as reply to other people’s emails.

• Microsoft Phrase: Flyers, Pics and Drawing Applications — 6:30 p.m., June 30. Master how to correctly use Word’s drawing equipment and how to use Word to build flyers and manipulate photographs.
