Austin’s Upland Computer software retains expanding, acquires St. Louis tech company

Austin-based Upland Software is acquiring Missouri-based application maker Next Road Media.

Upland Software paid $25.4 million in funds at closing, with an additional $5 million dollars holdback planned in the upcoming 12 months, in accordance to the firm.

Started in 2013, Upland Computer software helps make cloud-based operate administration software that is used by organizations for a selection of internal functions like automation of human source procedures, web information management, time and expenditure management, and gross sales group performances. 

The enterprise was started by Austin program entrepreneur Jack McDonald and went community in November 2014, when it raised $46 million in its first public presenting. Upland Software has developed swiftly considering the fact that its founding, making more than 20 acquisitions.

Next Avenue Media was founded in 2007 in St. Louis, and will make an audience engagement system. The application, which is utilised by a selection of companies, allows organizations to operate contests and create interactive articles. The company has a catalog of 700 templates and customizable sweepstakes, contents, brackets and quizzes.  

Next Road will be integrated into Upland’s client encounter management product suite, which previously incorporates e-mail and cellular messaging application. Upland believed Second Road will insert about $9.4 million per year to its revenue.
